HONORING Mikhail Vainblat upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition by the Orange
County Interscholastic Athletic Association as a
2018 Senior Scholar-Athlete

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord
with its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its
young citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and
accomplishments exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great
State and Nation; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Mikhail
Vainblat upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by
the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as a 2018 Senior
Scholar-Athlete; this momentous occasion was celebrated with a Breakfast
on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at Kuhl's Highland House, Middletown, New
York; and

WHEREAS, Academically and athletically, Mikhail Vainblat has
distinguished himself as a young man of superlative ability, talent, and
maturity, establishing standards of excellence and achievement,
purposefulness of life, and responsibility rarely achieved in youthful
years; and

WHEREAS, A student at Tri-Valley Central School District, Mikhail
Vainblat has a 96.84 GPA and is ranked 5th in his class; he belongs to
the National Honor Society and Future Business Leaders of America; he is
also co-President of the Friends for Rachel Club; and

WHEREAS, Mikhail Vainblat, who ran both indoor and outdoor track,
was Captain of the cross country team, sectional team champion and track
state qualifier; graphic design officer; and a member of the stage crew;
and

WHEREAS, Dedicated to his community, Mikhail Vainblat gives
tirelessly of his time and energies volunteering at: the Annual Pumpkin
Party, the local firehouse, and March of Dimes; he also creates
brochures and designs for local organizations; and

WHEREAS, After graduating from high school, Mikhail Vainblat plans
to attend SUNY Oneonta and major in digital and studio art; and

WHEREAS, An outstanding role model for his classmates, Mikhail
Vainblat has brought honor to his family, school, and community; and

WHEREAS, Mikhail Vainblat may stand with pride in his achievements,
experiencing the satisfaction of his labors and the joy of his
accomplishments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences as he
continues his education; and

WHEREAS, Mikhail Vainblat represents the potential inherent in our
most precious resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased to

honor this young man, recognizing his achievements and the promise of
his future; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Mikhail Vainblat upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as
a 2018 Senior Scholar-Athlete, and to wish him well in his future
endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Mikhail Vainblat.
