CONGRATULATING the 30 alumni and 3 former coaches
upon the occasion of being inducted into the Island
Trees High School Athletics Hall of Fame on October
12, 2018
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize
individuals from the sporting world who have distinguished themselves
through exceptional performance, attaining unprecedented success and the
highest level of personal achievement; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body commends rare athletic achievements
and pays special recognition to those who pursue such excellence and
become examples for the youth of this great Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate the 30 alumni and 3 former coaches upon the occasion of
being inducted into the Island Trees High School Athletics Hall of Fame;
the induction ceremony will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018, at the
Island Trees High School in Levittown, New York; and
WHEREAS, This year's inductees include: Valerie Ahrens, Frank
Baglivo, Stephan Barea, Meghan Biondollilo, Michael Cama, Joseph
Ciaravino, David Darcy, William Donovan, Kristen Due, Raymond Due,
Michelle Duffy, John Duffy, Matthew Eberlein, John Famularo, Matthew
Gelormino, Coach Nick Grande, Allison Gronenthal, Michael Gronenthal,
Daniel Hart, Ronald Hartung, Michael Jeannetti, Michael Manganiello,
Allison Merrill, Christina Merrill, Ronald Modik, Ashley Moore, Coach
Christine Price, Coach Graham Radcliffe, Jeff Ryan, Joseph Vaskas, Bryan
Verbitsky, Bridget Vilbig, and Andrew Willoughby; and
WHEREAS, Currently, there are over 200 inductees in the Island Trees
"Bulldogs" Athletics Hall of Fame; and
WHEREAS, Nick Grande is the Principal at Island Trees High School,
and Sean Burns is the Director of Health, Physical Education, and
Athletics; and
WHEREAS, These outstanding athletes and coaches have clearly
utilized dedication, determination and teamwork in providing a lasting
contribution to the spirit of excellence which is a tradition of their
school; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such outstanding accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be recognized by all citizens of this great
Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
the congratulate the 30 alumni and 3 former coaches upon the occasion of
being inducted into the Island Trees High School Athletics Hall of Fame;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the aforementioned inductees, Nick Grande and Sean Burns.
