HONORING Gregory T. Ivancic upon the occasion of
his designation for special recognition after 30
years of distinguished service to Canisius College
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Gregory T. Ivancic upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition after 30 years of distinguished service to Canisius College;
and
WHEREAS, A resident of Tonawanda, New York, Gregory T. Ivancic
serves as a partner at Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP and as an
adjunct professor of accounting at Canisius College; and
WHEREAS, During his illustrious tenure with Canisius College,
Gregory T. Ivancic has taught both financial and managerial accounting,
mainly to graduate students in the Master of Business Administration
program; and
WHEREAS, In addition, this extraordinary man has also taught
undergraduate accounting classes and a sports financing course; and
WHEREAS, Gregory T. Ivancic's three decades of tireless service as
an adjunct professor has helped to maintain the national reputation of
the accounting program at Canisius College; and
WHEREAS, Known for his great sense of humor and enthusiastic
attitude, Gregory T. Ivancic is respected by both his colleagues and
students for his outstanding efforts in the classroom; and
WHEREAS, As an attorney, Gregory T. Ivancic focuses his work on
mergers, acquisitions, private equity funding, partnership arrangements
and general corporate matters; and
WHEREAS, Prior to joining the firm, Gregory T. Ivancic was a
certified public accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers' Buffalo office;
and
WHEREAS, Gregory T. Ivancic remains active in the accounting field
by maintaining his CPA license; he also belongs to the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society
of Certified Public Accountants; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Gregory T. Ivancic upon the occasion of his designation for
special recognition after 30 years of distinguished service to Canisius
College; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Gregory T. Ivancic.
