HONORING the 2007 Thomas R. Proctor High School
Baseball Team upon the occasion of its induction
into the Greater Utica Sports Hall of Fame

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
outstanding athletes and coaches who have distinguished themselves
through their exceptional performance, attaining unprecedented success
and the highest level of personal achievement; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
the 2007 Thomas R. Proctor High School Baseball Team upon the occasion
of its induction into the Greater Utica Sports Hall of Fame, to be
celebrated on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Daniele's Banquet Facility,
New Hartford, New York; and

WHEREAS, Entering the Hall of Fame in the Team Category is the 2007
NYSPHAA Class AA State Champion Thomas R. Proctor Baseball Team; and

WHEREAS, Led by Greater Utica Sports Hall of Famer Dave Guido, the
Raiders went 23-5, securing the Section III and Regional Championships
on their way to the New York State Title; and

WHEREAS, The Thomas R. Proctor High School Baseball Team competed in
the state's highest athletic classification and earned the school's
first NYSPHAA title; and

WHEREAS, Head Coach Dave Guido was the 2007 New York State Coach of
the Year and the NABC National High School Coach of the Year; and

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such outstanding athletic accomplishments are brought to
our attention, they should be recognized by all members of this great
Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor the 2007 Thomas R. Proctor High School Baseball Team upon the
occasion of its induction into the Greater Utica Sports Hall of Fame;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the members of the 2007 Thomas R. Proctor High School
Baseball Team and Head Coach Dave Guido.
