COMMEMORATING the 40th Anniversary of the Nassau
Council of Chambers of Commerce on May 15, 2019

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those organizations which substantially contribute to
the economic vitality of their communities and the entire Empire State;
and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the Nassau Council of Chambers of
Commerce to be celebrated on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, The Atrium at RXR
Plaza, Uniondale, New York; and

WHEREAS, Representing the concerns of the Nassau County business
community, the Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce is a strong united
voice for commerce and an advocate for issues which promotes economic
security and enhanced economic growth within the local community; and

WHEREAS, The Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce consistently
works to offer top-quality services and new opportunities for its
members, and advance the local community through outstanding promotion,
support and advocacy as the area's leading economic development
organization; and

WHEREAS, For the past four decades, this vital organization has
served to encourage and support new businesses and professional
opportunities, facilitate new partnerships, and promote the growth of
current businesses in the community; and

WHEREAS, The Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce is comprised of
members of the community and local business leaders working together to
support economic growth and prosperity; and

WHEREAS, Through offering an exchange of ideas, as well as education
and advocacy on behalf of its members, the Nassau Council of Chambers of
Commerce has fostered the growth and well-being of its membership, and
has enhanced the quality of life in Nassau County; and

WHEREAS, A solid cornerstone of its community, the Nassau Council of
Chambers of Commerce will continue to serve as the leading resource
sought by the public for information about tourism, local events, and
business education for many years to come; and

WHEREAS, Over its distinguished 40-year history, the Nassau Council
of Chambers of Commerce has demonstrated continuous service to the
residents and communities which it serves; and

WHEREAS, The success of the Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce
is in direct correlation to the efforts of its dedicated members, whose
involvement is, and always has been, characterized by an impressive
commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of

excellence in all endeavors on behalf of the organization and the
community it serves; and

WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional organization and its contributions to the
local and State economies, fully confident it will continue to enjoy the
sparkling success it has experienced thus far; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the Nassau Council of Chambers of
Commerce on May 15, 2019; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce.
