COMMENDING My Time Inc. upon the occasion of
hosting its 11th Annual Breakfast with the Chefs of
the Ritz Carlton on April 7, 2019

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made
significant contributions to the quality of life therein; and

WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of
certain extraordinary individuals and organizations it wishes to
recognize for their valued contributions to the success and progress of
society and publicly acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the
basic humanity among us all; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend My Time
Inc. upon the occasion of hosting its 11th Annual Breakfast with the
Chefs of the Ritz Carlton on Sunday, April 7, 2019, at Bayview Community
Center, Brooklyn, New York; and

WHEREAS, In July of 2004, after being frustrated with the disconnect
between children with special needs and their parents, Lucina Clarke
formed a volunteer group, The Canarsie Parent Support Group for
Individuals with Autism and Developmental Disabilities; and

WHEREAS, The group met on a monthly basis to discuss issues, share
and exchange information relating to autism and other related
developmental disabilities, and to provide support as well as to network
with other families; and

WHEREAS, The success of this group led to the establishment of My
Time Inc. in 2007, providing quality, reliable and trustworthy
information to the parents and caregivers of children with disabilities;
and

WHEREAS, Remaining true to its mission, My Time Inc. supports,
educates, empowers, enlightens and uplifts parents of a child diagnosed
with autism and developmental disabilities to live the life they deserve
in their community; and

WHEREAS, This vital organization engages parents in supportive
circles and educational trainings to develop skills in recreational,
social and play to enhance and increase their relationship with their
children; and

WHEREAS, Over its distinguished history, My Time Inc. has
demonstrated continuous service to the residents and communities which
it serves; and

WHEREAS, The success of My Time Inc. is in direct correlation to the
efforts of its dedicated Board of Directors, staff and volunteers, whose
involvement is, and always has been, characterized by an impressive
commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of

excellence in all endeavors on behalf of the organization and the
community it serves; and

WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents an opportunity for this
Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to My Time Inc.; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
individuals and organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments are
brought to our attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by
all the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend My Time Inc. upon the occasion of hosting its 11th Annual
Breakfast with the Chefs of the Ritz Carlton on April 7, 2019; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Lucina Clarke, Executive Director and Founder, My Time
Inc., Brooklyn, New York.
