Senate Resolution No. 1206

COMMENDING Gloria J. Bradley upon the occasion of
her designation for special recognition by the Agape
Sabbath Day Church Youth Ministries

WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to take note of
and publicly acknowledge individuals who have distinguished themselves
through their exemplary careers, accomplishments, and purposeful lives
of service to their community; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Gloria J. Bradley upon the occasion of her designation for
special recognition by the Agape Sabbath Day Church Youth Ministries;
and

WHEREAS, Gloria J. Bradley is being honored for her steadfast and
unremitting commitment to the young men and women of District 21 in
Brooklyn, New York; and

WHEREAS, Raised in South Carolina, Gloria Jean Bradley has worked
for the City of New York for numerous years; currently, she serves as a
parent advocate with its Administration for Children's Services; and

WHEREAS, In addition to her work with the City, Gloria J. Bradley
has been employed in the neurological field for over 40 years as an
Electroencephalogram (EEG) Technologist; and

WHEREAS, Throughout her magnanimous life, Gloria J. Bradley has been
devoted to not only her two sons, but also the young people of her
community; she has proudly adopted seven of the more than 20 children
whom she raised as a loving foster parent; and

WHEREAS, Gloria J. Bradley lives her beautiful life by example and
through her mantra, "Choice, Chance and Changes"; this exceptional human
being truly believes that children are the future and has dedicated her
life to making sure they are equipped with the necessary tools to
succeed; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Gloria J. Bradley has
displayed throughout her life; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
career, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all the
citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Gloria J. Bradley upon the occasion of her designation for
special recognition by the Agape Sabbath Day Church Youth Ministries;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Gloria J. Bradley.
