HONORING Antonio Wilson upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of a 2019 Scholarship Award
by the Community Council for Medgar Evers College,
Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to commend and
pay tribute to those young people who, by achieving outstanding success
in their educational endeavors, have inspired and brought pride to our
majestic Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Antonio Wilson upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of a
2019 Scholarship Award by the Community Council for Medgar Evers
College, Inc. celebrated at its 16th Annual Spring Scholarship and
Leadership Awards Luncheon on Saturday, April 27, 2019, in Brooklyn, New
York; and

WHEREAS, Currently studying biology at Medgar Evers College, Antonio
Wilson, with a 3.680 GPA, has received Dean's List Awards and most
recently made the President's List; and

WHEREAS, A truly conscientious and devoted young man, Antonio Wilson
plans to continue his education and become a pediatrician; and

WHEREAS, Antonio Wilson, in achieving this high academic honor, may
take just pride in the inspiration and contribution to the spirit of
excellence he brings to his family, friends, community and school; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Antonio Wilson upon the occasion of his designation as recipient
of a 2019 Scholarship Award by the Community Council for Medgar Evers
College, Inc.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Antonio Wilson.
