COMMEMORATING the 95th Anniversary of Varflex
Corporation

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those corporate enterprises throughout the State of New
York which have substantially contributed to the economic vitality of
their communities; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commemorate the 95th Anniversary of Varflex Corporation; and

WHEREAS, Varflex Corporation was founded on May 24, 1924, by
co-Founders Charles Jenny and James Griffin; and

WHEREAS, Since its inception, Varflex Corporation has been a
manufacturer of superior quality electrical insulating sleevings
(braided fiberglass), both coated and uncoated; its sleevings are used
in a variety of industrial and commercial applications, and many are UL
recognized, CSA certified, and some meet military specifications; and

WHEREAS, In June of 2017, Varflex Corporation achieved ISO 9001:2015
registration for the manufacture of coated and uncoated electrical
insulating sleeving made from fiberglass and other filaments as well as
twisting and plying of silica and synthetic fibers; and

WHEREAS, Varflex Corporation's sleevings are used in various
electrical applications such as motors, generators, transformers,
stators and actuators; additionally, they are found in military,
medical, food processing and many other applications; and

WHEREAS, A full-line electrical insulating sleeving manufacturer,
Varflex Corporation does its own braiding, enabling the company to
maintain a higher level of quality control, reduce lead times and
assures its customers of a consistent, reliable product; and

WHEREAS, Furthermore, Varflex Corporation does its own twisting,
plying, and yarn winding; and

WHEREAS, Over its distinguished 95-year history, Varflex Corporation
has demonstrated continuous service to the residents and communities
which it serves; and

WHEREAS, The success of Varflex Corporation is in direct correlation
to the efforts of its dedicated employees, whose involvement is, and
always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled
enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in all
endeavors on behalf of the organization and the community it serves; and

WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents an opportunity for this
Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to Varflex Corporation;
and

WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges Varflex Corporation's contributions to the local and State
economies, and extends its highest commendation to this corporate
enterprise, fully confident that it will continue to enjoy the sparkling
success it has enjoyed thus far; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 95th Anniversary of Varflex Corporation; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Varflex Corporation.
