COMMEMORATING the 25th Anniversary of the Harrison
Educational Foundation on November 7, 2019

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend those
illustrious organizations of the State of New York whose focus and
intent have made a substantial impact on the quality of life in their
communities; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Harrison Educational Foundation
to be celebrated on Thursday, November 7, 2019; and

WHEREAS, The Harrison Educational Foundation (HEF) was established
in 1994 by a small group of local residents who wished to provide
opportunities to enhance and enliven the education offered in local
schools; and

WHEREAS, This vital organization is focused exclusively on
supporting academic enrichment programs at each of the six schools of
the Harrison Central School District; and

WHEREAS, Remaining true to its mission, the Harrison Educational
Foundation encourages excellence in education by generating and
distributing private funds for curriculum enrichment programs to benefit
the students of the Harrison Central School District; and

WHEREAS, Furthermore, the Harrison Educational Foundation seeks to
achieve its goals by providing opportunities for creative teaching and
learning experiences and by encouraging community and district
partnerships; and

WHEREAS, Over its distinguished 25-year history, the Harrison
Educational Foundation has demonstrated continuous service to the
residents and communities which it serves; and

WHEREAS, The success of the Harrison Educational Foundation is in
direct correlation to the efforts of its dedicated Board and Trustees,
whose involvement is, and always has been, characterized by an
impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising
standard of excellence in all endeavors on behalf of the organization
and the community it serves; and

WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents an opportunity for this
Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to the Harrison
Educational Foundation; and

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when
individuals and organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments are
brought to our attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by
all the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Harrison Educational Foundation
on November 7, 2019; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the Harrison Educational Foundation.
