CONGRATULATING the Glen Cove High School Concert
Orchestra upon the occasion of winning superior
rating at the Long Island Music Festival

WHEREAS, Music competition provides an opportunity for students to
exhibit their practical skills to an audience, thereby giving them a
sense of pride in their hard work and efforts; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
dedication and commitment of our young people who distinguish themselves
through excellence in musical competition; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate the Glen Cove High School Concert Orchestra upon the
occasion of winning superior rating at the Long Island Music Festival;
and

WHEREAS, The members of the Glen Cove High School Concert Orchestra
include: Violin I: Christie Annunziato, Sydney Baiata, Brianna Berment,
Arlene Cajavilca, Marlene Calderon, Kimberly Duenas, Rachael Espinoza,
Kyle Fahey, Michael Famiglietti, Melanie Farro, Kenneth Gavino, Dana
Levy, Damian Luterek, Angela McCarthy, Stephanie Reilly, Lauren Retoske,
Iliana Sanchez, Diana Salinas, Evelyn Sullivan, Judith Tuifel, and Emely
Ventura; Violin II: Douaa Ahmed, Noemy Annunziato, Isabella Bifano,
Katie Bonilla, Fernanda Falcon, Sofia Garcia, Melissa Herrera, Julia
Langone, Exau Maldonado, Fernando Portillo, Jules Rush, Deandra
Santiago, Parri Sehgal, Anisa Sehu, Ariyona Souter, Reed Weimer, Lily
Weinstein, and Vanessa Vela; Viola: Sidney Angalet, William Centeno,
Ayjah Clarke, Cristian Cueva-Bonilla, Bryan Jaco, Francesca Piccirillo,
Destiny Plasencia, Megan Wang, and Andrew Woska; Cello: Anna Basil,
Ciara Doyle, Leah Dwyer, Denis Granados, Ashley Jaco, Sahej Khurana,
Axelle LaBaw, and Evelyn Tran; and Bass: Reese Comitino, Evan O'Regan,
Owen O'Regan, and Ronaldo Reyes; and

WHEREAS, Talent, dedication, and countless hours of practice have
made the Concert Orchestra of Glen Cove High School the outstanding
ensemble it is today; and

WHEREAS, The members work hard at their music rehearsals, classroom
assignments and practice sessions, fully aware that the amount of time
and energy they are willing to expend directly affects the quality of
their music; and

WHEREAS, The Glen Cove High School Concert Orchestra members, along
with their teacher, Mr. Jim Guarini, as well as their parents, can be
justifiably proud of their musical achievements and their participation
in the Long Island Music Festival; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the Glen Cove High School Concert Orchestra upon the
occasion of winning superior rating at the Long Island Music Festival;
and be it further


RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Mr. Jim Guarini and each member of the Glen Cove High
School Concert Orchestra.
