CONGRATULATING the Glen Cove High School Select
Chorale upon the occasion of being selected to be
featured performers at the National Music for all
conference in Indianapolis, Indiana, and winning the
Gold Medal with Distinction at the NYSSMA Major
Ensemble Festival Competition Level 6

WHEREAS, Music competition provides an opportunity for students to
exhibit their practical skills to an audience, thereby giving them a
sense of pride in their hard work and efforts; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
dedication and commitment of our young people who distinguish themselves
through excellence in musical competition; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate the Glen Cove High School Select Chorale upon the occasion
of being selected to be featured performers at the National Music for
all conference in Indianapolis, Indiana, and winning the Gold Medal with
Distinction at the NYSSMA Major Ensemble Festival Competition Level 6;
and

WHEREAS, The members of the Glen Cove High School Select Chorale
include: Soprano I: Christina Cavallone, Rachael Espinoza, Kylie
Jenkins, Arden Sanders-D'Alleva, and Alondra Schuck; Soprano II: Melena
Abercrombie, Cyra Burnett, Kayla Demosthene, Cassandra Hill, Franmarie
Hlatky-Rivera, Mia Martinez, and Alexandria Sparks; Alto I: Julia
Abbondanza, Michele D'Ambrosio, Delmy Henriquez Arriaga, Ruby Nasary,
Alyssa Schmitt, Tallulah Supica, and Julianna Willson; Alto II: Hannah
Boecklin, Jaynise Espinal, Trinity Guzman, Elena Ortiz-Moreno, Mykaela
Pajuelo, and Aamaiyah Vaughan; Tenor I: Keanu Carmona, Allan Pineda, and
Gilbert Reyes; Tenor II: Aidan Borah, Andrew Costella, Thomas
Klimaszewski, and Andrew Woska; Bass I: Alex Beckhard-Suozzi, Cristian
Cueva-Bonilla; Kyle Fahey, and Jonathan Jackson; and Bass II: Jack
Coyle, Elijah James, and Jesse Mayreis; and

WHEREAS, Talent, dedication, and countless hours of practice have
made the Select Chorale of Glen Cove High School the outstanding
ensemble it is today; and

WHEREAS, The members work hard at their music rehearsals, classroom
assignments and practice sessions, fully aware that the amount of time
and energy they are willing to expend directly affects the quality of
their music; and

WHEREAS, The Glen Cove High School Select Chorale members, along
with their teacher, Mr. Ed Norris, as well as their parents, can be
justifiably proud of their musical achievements; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the Glen Cove High School Select Chorale upon the occasion
of being selected to be featured performers at the National Music for

all conference in Indianapolis, Indiana, and winning the Gold Medal with
Distinction at the NYSSMA Major Ensemble Festival Competition Level 6;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Mr. Ed Norris and each member of the Glen Cove High
School Select Chorale.
