Senate Resolution No. 2197

COMMENDING Ricarlo-Luic David Grevely upon the
occasion of his designation for special recognition
by the African American Cultural Center of the
Capital Region, Inc. on September 27, 2019

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those young people within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Ricarlo-Luic David Grevely upon the occasion of his designation for
special recognition by the African American Cultural Center of the
Capital Region, Inc. to be celebrated at its 1st Annual Gala on Friday,
September 27, 2019, at Treviso by Mallozzi's in Albany, New York; and

WHEREAS, Born and raised in Schenectady, New York, Ricarlo-Luic
David Grevely is determined to excel at all he does, whether it is
academics, sports, clubs or helping in the community; and

WHEREAS, This remarkable young man has been on the honor roll every
semester while taking several advanced and international baccalaureate
college classes; and

WHEREAS, Ricarlo-Luic David Grevely is also an exceptional athlete,
holding school records for track and field; in addition, he was a
starter and captain of his football team all 4 years; and

WHEREAS, Eager to give back to his community, Ricarlo-Luic David
Grevely is an active member of the Roots Club and Teen Tac-D, which work
to bring social awareness by trying to address problems which work to
better their school district; and

WHEREAS, In the future, Ricarlo-Luic David Grevely hopes to continue
his volunteer work, and would like to pursue a career writing and
directing movies and tv shows; and

WHEREAS, With his sense of civic duty and his commitment to others,
Ricarlo-Luic David Grevely represents the best development of the
potential which is inherent in our most precious resource, our youth;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Ricarlo-Luic David Grevely upon the occasion of his designation
for special honor by the African American Cultural Center of the Capital
Region, Inc.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Ricarlo-Luic David Grevely.
