COMMENDING the Rome Polish Home upon the occasion
of celebrating its 80th Anniversary on October 26,
2019

WHEREAS, The State of New York takes great pride in acknowledging
outstanding organizations which distinguish themselves in serving the
community and its residents, and which warrant special recognition; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend those
illustrious organizations of the State of New York whose focus and
intent have made a substantial impact on the quality of life in their
communities; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend the Rome Polish Home in Rome, New York, upon the occasion of
celebrating its 80th Anniversary on Saturday, October 26, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Founded in 1939, the Rome Polish Home flourished from the
beginning due to the remarkable leadership of Martin Gryzlec and Martin
Gutter, and many societies, clubs and its outstanding members; and

WHEREAS, During its eight decades of existence, the Rome Polish Home
has served its members and guests with distinction and pride; and

WHEREAS, The success of the Rome Polish Home is in direct
correlation to the efforts of its staff/members/volunteers, whose
involvement is, and always has been, characterized by an impressive
commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of
excellence in all endeavors on behalf of the organization and the
community it serves; and

WHEREAS, In light of its commitment, dedication and successful
efforts, it is the custom of this Legislative Body to extend its highest
commendation to the Rome Polish Home of Rome, New York, and wish them
much success in the future; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Rome Polish Home upon the occasion of celebrating its 80th
Anniversary; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the Rome Polish Home.
