CONGRATULATING June Crawford upon the occasion of
celebrating her 100th Birthday on January 19, 2020

WHEREAS, Senior citizens bring a wealth of experience and knowledge
to the increasingly active roles they play in today's society; their
past contributions and future participation are a vital part of, and
valuable asset to, the fabric of community life and activity; and

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to commemorate
and recognize certain milestones celebrated by citizens of New York
State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate June Crawford upon the occasion of her 100th Birthday to be
celebrated on Sunday, January 19, 2020; and

WHEREAS, June Crawford was born on January 19, 1920, in Cleveland,
Ohio, to George Bockmier and Hattie Neno; and

WHEREAS, Graduating from Allegany Central School, Class of 1938,
June Crawford worked as a Bookkeeper for Sara Crisafulli as well as
being employed at McCaffery Baker Dress Shop; she also held the esteemed
position of Clerk for the Town of Allegany; and

WHEREAS, She was married to her first husband, Ernest H. Hall and
together they had one son, Ernie Hall; following Ernest's passing, she
later married Joseph Crawford and this union produced 12 more children,
Tim, Elizabeth, Pam, Mike, James, Jerry, Gary, Dennis, Joe, Deb, Greg,
and Chris; today, June is the proud grandmother of 34 grandchildren and
more than 23 great-grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Amongst many hobbies, June Crawford enjoys crafts,
shopping, reading, playing cards, baking pies and writing poems; and

WHEREAS, Still active in her community, June Crawford has been
volunteering for 13 years at the Department of Aging and Meals on
Wheels; and

WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to publicly
recognize those who have reached such a remarkable age and who have
witnessed and celebrated the innovations, cultural developments and
awesome achievements of this country during the last century, while
themselves contributing to the growth and excellence of this great
Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate June Crawford upon the occasion of celebrating her 100th
Birthday; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to June Crawford.
