COMMENDING the 25th Anniversary of the Fourth
World Conference on Women and adoption of the
Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action

WHEREAS, Organizations which serve the interests of the people of
this Empire State merit the commendation of this Legislative Body; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend the 25th
Anniversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women and adoption of the
Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, to be celebrated at the
Danny Glover Power of Dream Award Dinner Gala on March 14, 2020, at
Armenian Hall, New York, New York; and

WHEREAS, This occasion presents an opportunity for this Legislative
Body to recognize and pay tribute to the World Conference on Women; and

WHEREAS, Milestones such as the 25th Anniversary of the Fourth World
Conference on Women and adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform
for Action are worthy of the highest praise from this Legislative Body;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the 25th Anniversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women and
adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the Fourth World Conference on Women.
