HONORING Christopher Adams upon the occasion of
his designation as recipient of the 2019 Youth of
the Year Award by Frontliner Men's Ministry

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Christopher
Adams upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the 2019
Youth of the Year Award by Frontliner Men's Ministry; and

WHEREAS, Christopher Adams is a 14-year-old freshman at Digital Arts
and Cinema Technology High School in Brooklyn, New York; and

WHEREAS, From a young age, Christopher Adams served alongside his
mom for the Sunday school ministry at EBC, where he set up the
pre-school classroom every Sunday morning for many years; and

WHEREAS, To this day, Christopher Adams continues to partake in
service projects with his family; he is an active member in EBC Youth
Ministry, A Christian Theatrical Society, Technical Arts Ministry, and
S.H.I.N.E- Rights of Massage for Young Men; and

WHEREAS, Christopher Adams also participated in the Hearts of Men
program with the Frontliner: Men's Ministry Band; and

WHEREAS, Equipped with a love for technology, Christopher Adams not
only loves to play video games and watch anime, he also enjoys coding
and won the Innovators Award at his middle school's science fair; and

WHEREAS, Furthermore, Christopher Adams enjoys classical music and
is a part of the music program at Carnegie Hall; and

WHEREAS, Christopher Adams also participates in the Chionesu Bakari
(CB) Program for Young Men; this allows him to take part in the Blue
Nile Rites of Passage Program, in the footsteps of his siblings; and

WHEREAS, Throughout his travels across the United States,
Christopher Adams has partaken in college tours and visits to various
historical sites; he's contributed several written pieces to the Our
Times Press, a local newspaper, sharing some of his civil rights tours
and travel experiences; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Christopher Adams has shown
at such a young age; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Christopher Adams upon the occasion of his designation as
recipient of the 2019 Youth of the Year Award by Frontliner Men's
Ministry; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Christopher Adams.
