MOURNING the death of Carolyn Marie Fahey Rivera,
distinguished citizen and dedicated member of her
community

WHEREAS, It is with feelings of deepest regret that this Legislative
Body records the passing of Carolyn Marie Fahey Rivera, an extraordinary
woman of indomitable faith and dedication whose purposeful life will
long serve as a standard to which others might aspire; and

WHEREAS, Carolyn Marie Fahey Rivera of Cranberry Township,
Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at the age of
54; and

WHEREAS, Carolyn Marie Fahey was born to the late John Patrick
"Jack" and Mary Alice "Mickie" (McMahon) Fahey on September 2, 1965, in
Buffalo, New York; and

WHEREAS, A vital and treasured member of her community, Carolyn
Marie Fahey Rivera worked for many years as the office manager of the
Gentile, Horoho & Avalli Law Firm; in this capacity, she truly served
with loyalty, honor and distinction; and

WHEREAS, When she was not working, Carolyn Marie Fahey Rivera
enjoyed spending time with her beloved husband, children, brothers and
sisters, and was the loving "G'ma" of three grandchildren, and devoted
"Titi" of numerous nieces and nephews; and

WHEREAS, Carolyn Marie Fahey Rivera truly lit up the room when she
walked in; with her bright and warm smile, and her contagious laughter,
she instantly made everyone around her feel welcome and comfortable; and

WHEREAS, Carolyn Marie Fahey Rivera is survived by her husband,
Antonio "Tony" Rivera; one son, Antonio "Tony" Rivera, Jr.; one
daughter, Gabriella Michelle "Gabby" (John) Black; three grandchildren,
TJ, Maddie, and Connor; five brothers, John, Patrick, Michael, Joseph,
and Christopher; three sisters, Elizabeth, Margaret, and Mary Clare; and
over 20 nieces and nephews, as well as friends and colleagues who will
long cherish her memory; and

WHEREAS, Through her boundless love and profound words of wisdom,
Carolyn Marie Fahey Rivera's legacy of true grace and luminous beauty,
inside and out, will shine on through her family's vivid and happy
memories; her shining light and strength will forever serve as a beacon
of love and hope for all who were privileged to have known and loved
such an amazing and dynamic woman; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death of Carolyn Marie Fahey Rivera, distinguished citizen and
devoted member of her community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Carolyn Marie Fahey Rivera.
