COMMENDING St. John's Lodge No. 16, part of the
Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of New York,
upon the occasion of hosting its Annual Master's
Ball on March 14, 2020

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those fraternal organizations of high purpose and worthy
accomplishment whose endeavors have faithfully served the welfare of the
citizens of the State of New York; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend St. John's Lodge No. 16, part of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall
Grand Lodge of New York, upon the occasion of hosting its Annual
Master's Ball on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at Buffalo Marriott Niagara,
Amherst, New York; and

WHEREAS, The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge Free and
Accepted Masons State of New York is a non-profit organization which
embodies a beautiful system of morality, veiled in allegory and
illustrated by symbols; and

WHEREAS, The fraternity, founded upon faith-based principles
established in the Holy Bible, strives to teach a man the duty he owes
to God, his neighbor, and to himself, but interferes neither with
religion nor politics as it prescribes the practice of virtues in the
conduct of its business; and

WHEREAS, The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of New York's
foundation is Character, its purpose is Service, and its measure is
Giving; and

WHEREAS, Furthermore, remaining true to its mission of Making Good
Men Better, the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of New York's
service is rendered to the people of the State of New York, helping to
improve their social, cultural, and economic conditions, and giving as
an act of unselfish sacrifice for the benefit of others; and

WHEREAS, Over its distinguished history, St. John's Lodge No. 16,
Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of New York, has demonstrated
continuous service to the residents and communities which it serves; and

WHEREAS, The success of St. John's Lodge No. 16 is in direct
correlation to the efforts of its dedicated members, whose involvement
is, and always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an
unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in
all endeavors on behalf of the organization and the community it serves;
and

WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents an opportunity for this
Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to St. John's Lodge No.
16, Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of New York; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is proudly moved to honor and commend
the members of St. John's Lodge No. 16, Most Worshipful Prince Hall
Grand Lodge of New York, past and present, who have labored so
conscientiously to secure and improve the quality of life for the
community it serves; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend St. John's Lodge No. 16, part of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall
Grand Lodge of New York, upon the occasion of hosting its Annual
Master's Ball on March 14, 2020; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to St. John's Lodge No. 16, Most Worshipful Prince Hall
Grand Lodge of New York.
