COMMEMORATING the 10th Anniversary of "Gospel
Celebration" on March 28, 2020

WHEREAS, The character and richness of religious and community life
in this noble Empire State are nourished and fulfilled through the
faithful concern and selfless devotion of those radio programs which
commit their energies and purpose to the ministry of others; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commemorate the 10th Anniversary of "Gospel Celebration" on Saturday,
March 28, 2020, at One Way Church of Christ, Springfield Gardens, New
York; and

WHEREAS, "Gospel Celebration" is a Christian radio program that
ministers to its listeners through music, scripture readings,
testimonials and words of encouragement; and

WHEREAS, Each week, "Gospel Celebration" is aired live on Saturday
morning and Monday night; and

WHEREAS, This auspicious event will also celebrate its annual
concert at the same location, One Way Church of Christ, a pillar in the
Springfield Gardens community, as well as 19 years on WGBB; and

WHEREAS, "Gospel Celebration" will officially launch their expansion
into internet radio stations and podcasting sectors of broadcasting; and

WHEREAS, This vital Christian radio program continues to provide
enlightenment, guidance and wisdom to its many listeners, administering
abundantly and unstintingly to the spiritual and corporal needs of all;
and

WHEREAS, In a world where new knowledge is acquired each and every
day, "Gospel Celebration" has truly established itself as an integral
proponent of community awareness and involvement; as it moves into the
future, it carries with it the legacy of a distinguished broadcasting
history and an outstanding record of growth and achievement; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the observance of the 10th Anniversary of "Gospel
Celebration" on March 28, 2020; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to "Gospel Celebration".
