COMMENDING Fitzarnaz Drummond upon the occasion of
being inducted into the 2020 SUNY New Paltz School
of Business Hall of Fame as Alumnus of the Year

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Fitzarnaz Drummond upon the occasion of being inducted into the
2020 SUNY New Paltz School of Business Hall of Fame as Alumnus of the
Year, to be celebrated with an Induction Ceremony on Wednesday, April
22, 2020, at the Grandview, Poughkeepsie, New York; and

WHEREAS, Originally from Jamaica, Fitzarnaz Drummond graduated as
valedictorian from SUNY New Paltz, where he double-majored in Finance
and Management and was truly a campus leader, serving as a residence
hall assistant as well as President of the Residence Hall Student
Association; and

WHEREAS, Fitzarnaz Drummond began his illustrious career in
corporate finance at Mediacom Communications in Middletown, New York,
before moving to London, England, where he continues to reside today
with his wife, Kerica, and their two children; and

WHEREAS, This extraordinary man has spent over a decade in
investment banking corporate treasury roles across Goldman Sachs and
Deutsche Bank; and

WHEREAS, With a steadfast and unwavering commitment to his alma
mater, Fitzarnaz Drummond currently serves as a Board Director for the
SUNY New Paltz Foundation, and as Chair of the Finance and Investment
Committee; and

WHEREAS, Furthermore, in 2017, he was among the SUNY New Paltz
alumni recognized through the 40 Under Forty Program; and

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Fitzarnaz Drummond upon the occasion of being inducted into the
2020 SUNY New Paltz School of Business Hall of Fame as Alumnus of the
Year; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Fitzarnaz Drummond.
