LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION celebrating the life and
legacy of Pastor Holice Fitzgerald Robertson,
religious leader, family man, and devoted member of
his community

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to bring full
recognition and just tribute to those men and women of religious
commitment who accept the responsibility of moral leadership and render
the wisdom of human understanding; and

WHEREAS, Pastor Holice Fitzgerald Robertson died on Wednesday, March
11, 2020, at the age of 55; and

WHEREAS, This distinguished man of God always gave guidance and
wisdom to the many entrusted to his care and administered abundantly and
unstintingly to the spiritual and corporal needs of all; and

WHEREAS, Holice Fitzgerald Robertson, affectionately known to many
as Ice, was born to the late Albert and Sylvia (Williams) Robertson on
May 15, 1965, in Questelles, St. Vincent, West Indies; in 1974, he and
his family migrated to the United States and settled in Brooklyn, New
York, where he attended public schools and the pre-med program at
Hillcrest High School; and

WHEREAS, In 1975, Holice Fitzgerald Robertson joined the Apostolic
Faith Mission and quickly became involved in many ministries including
youth choir, orchestra, Usher Board, Nursing Home Ministry, and Cottage
meetings; he was one of the youngest to graduate from the Berean Bible
School and was instrumental in building the AFC DeKalb and Crystal
Church; and

WHEREAS, The year 1990 marked a turning point in his life when
Holice Fitzgerald Robertson married the love of his life, June, and
furthered his education by attending Queens College and earning his
degree from Long Island University; in 1994, he obtained his Master's
degree in Project Management from George Washington University; and

WHEREAS, For many years, Holice Fitzgerald Robertson was employed as
an IT Specialist with AT&T before he and his young family relocated to
North Carolina; shortly thereafter, he and his wife founded Love Fast
Christian Center (LFCC) to provide much needed services to the homeless,
youth and senior citizens in the community; one of his most successful
programs was the Brown Bag ministry which fed homeless families; and

WHEREAS, This kind, humble and wise man was always ready and willing
to help anyone and graciously served as a counselor to many; he started
a music school, coached various youth basketball teams, and founded the
Sylvia Williams college scholarship, the Sharon Lester Benevolent Fund,
a men's ministry, and a senior citizen ministry at Hosiery Mills; and

WHEREAS, In addition to his many roles as a religious leader, Pastor
Holice Fitzgerald Robertson held several professional certifications and
worked for EDS, Hewlett Packard and MetLife; and


WHEREAS, Pastor Holice Fitzgerald Robertson is survived by his wife,
June; two children, Gerald Hollis Koltraine and Shannon Imani Nia; one
grandson, Justice Holice; three brothers, Roger (Janet) Tucker, Randy
Williams and Marlon (Gail) Williams; one sister, Ingrid (McPhun)
Robertson; numerous nieces and nephews, Christinia, Oliva, Maya,
Jillian, Danielle, Marcus, Randasia, Randi-Kayla, Alicia, Sydney,
Michael, Jason, Terrance, Reggie, Stephen, Nathaniel, Jamila, Thomas,
Afreya and Courtney; four sisters-in-laws, Catherine (James), Karen,
Janice, Yvette (Courtney), and Enid (Ozzie); three uncles, Edliss
(Trinidad), Elmore (Yvonne) and Elroy; three aunts, Veronica (Winston),
Patsy, Yvonne (Wellington); many cousins and other family members, his
church family, and numerous godchildren, spiritual children, co-workers
and friends who will long cherish his memory; and

WHEREAS, In appreciation of his life of commitment, dedication and
substantial contribution, it is the intent of this Legislative Body to
inscribe upon its records this tribute to the memory of Pastor Holice
Fitzgerald Robertson that future generations may know and appreciate his
admirable character, his many benevolent deeds, and the respect and
esteem in which he was held; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
celebrate the life and legacy of Pastor Holice Fitzgerald Robertson,
religious leader, family man, and devoted member of his community; and
be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Pastor Holice Fitzgerald Robertson.
