COMMENDING Mark Pfisterer upon the occasion of his
retirement after 42 years of distinguished service
to AmeriCU Credit Union

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge
those individuals whose professional lives serve to enhance the stature
of the State of New York; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Mark Pfisterer upon the occasion of his retirement after 42
years of distinguished service to AmeriCU Credit Union; and

WHEREAS, In 1979, Mark Pfisterer began his long and illustrious
career as a comptroller and assistant manager with AmeriCU Credit Union,
which was formerly known as UpState Credit Union; two years later, he
was promoted to Executive Vice President, and then to the esteemed
position of President/CEO in 1986, the title from which he will
officially retire in 2020; and

WHEREAS, Throughout his tenure, Mark Pfisterer has witnessed a
tremendous amount of growth and change in the industry, as well as the
credit union itself; he was instrumental in increasing the credit
union's assets and changing the bank's mindset to one which created a
balance between those who use financial technology products and those
who prefer face time with financial professionals; and

WHEREAS, Mark Pfisterer is truly a trailblazer who helped create an
environment where customers can achieve goals and learn to navigate a
financial institution; and

WHEREAS, For the past 42 years, Mark Pfisterer rendered faithful,
conscientious and valuable service to the AmeriCU Credit Union; in his
capacity as President and CEO, he served with loyalty, honor and
distinction; and

WHEREAS, In his official acts, Mark Pfisterer was governed by a keen
sense of duty and always showed a unique grasp of human problems; and

WHEREAS, During his tenure with AmeriCU Credit Union, Mark Pfisterer
earned the admiration, esteem and affection of his colleagues; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Mark Pfisterer upon the occasion of his retirement after 42
years of distinguished service to AmeriCU Credit Union, and to wish him
well in all his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Mark Pfisterer.
