COMMENDING the Court-Vue Luncheonette upon the
occasion of celebrating its 35th Anniversary

WHEREAS, Within each community of this great State of New York there
are certain businesses that define the nature of the region and the
people who inhabit it; and

WHEREAS, Such is true of the Court-Vue Luncheonette located at 219
Elizabeth Street, in Downtown Utica, New York, which has provided
nourishment and employment for residents in Oneida County for 35
prosperous years; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is proud to commend the Court-Vue
Luncheonette upon the occasion of its 35th Anniversary; and

WHEREAS, In the spring of 1985, Alfred and Angela Valeriano
purchased the Court-Vue Luncheonette and established Valeriano's
Catering; to this day, the Valerianos continue to operate their original
hours, serving breakfast and lunch, Monday through Friday 6am-2pm; on
April 1, 2020, the Valeriano's celebrated the Court-Vue's 35th
continuous year of operation under their ownership in the same location;
and

WHEREAS, In 2010, Alfred and Angelas's oldest daughter, Alaina,
became a part of the family business and continues to do so in
preparation of purchasing the business with her husband Todd from her
parents in a few short years; the Valeriano's younger daughter, Aleese,
followed a different career path, but along with her fiance Tanner,
continue to help the family business whenever needed; and

WHEREAS, For 35 fruitful years, the owners and employees of the
Court-Vue Luncheonette have brought an uncommon sense of quality and
spirit to the community, providing the City of Utica and Oneida County
not only with impeccable service and delicious food, but also with good
old-fashioned memories to enjoy; and

WHEREAS, It is fitting that this Legislative Body recognize local
businesses such as the Court-Vue Luncheonette which have become
institutions in the community, as well as the successful entrepreneurs
who have nurtured them throughout the years; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Court-Vue Luncheonette upon the occasion of celebrating its
35th Anniversary, fully confident that it will continue to enjoy the
same sparkling success and indomitable spirit which has so characterized
its past; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Alfred and Angela Valeriano, Owners, Court-Vue
Luncheonette.
