COMMENDING Zeina's Cafe upon the occasion of
celebrating its 10th Anniversary on April 23, 2020

WHEREAS, Within each community of this great State of New York there
are certain businesses that define the nature of the region and the
people who inhabit it; and

WHEREAS, Such is true of Zeina's Cafe located at 607 Varick Street
in Utica, in Downtown Utica, New York, which has provided nourishment
and employment for residents in Oneida County for 10 prosperous years;
and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is proud to commend Zeina's Cafe upon
the occasion of its 10th Anniversary which was celebrated on Thursday,
April 23, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Zeina's Cafe is a family owned Lebanese-style Mediterranean
restaurant which serves the most authentic food using only the finest
ingredients; each year, owners Albert and Layla Zeina visit Lebanon and
brings back with them an array of spices and brand-new ideas, giving
customers the most authentic experience possible; and

WHEREAS, Since 2010, Albert and Layla Zeina has remained true to
their promise to serve the community only the best Lebanese food using
cherished family recipes which have been passed down for generations
with a menu consisting of Mediterranean favorites such as hummus and
pita dip, lamb gyros and chicken salad; and

WHEREAS, For 10 fruitful years, the owners and employees of Zeina's
Cafe have brought an uncommon sense of quality and spirit to the
community, providing the City of Utica and Oneida County not only with
impeccable service and delicious food, but also with good old-fashioned
memories to enjoy; and

WHEREAS, It is fitting that this Legislative Body recognize local
businesses such as Zeina's Cafe which have become institutions in the
community, as well as the successful entrepreneurs who have nurtured
them throughout the years; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Zeina's Cafe upon the occasion of celebrating its 10th
Anniversary, fully confident that it will continue to enjoy the same
sparkling success and indomitable spirit which has so characterized its
past; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Albert and Layla Zeina, Owners, Zeina's Cafe.
