HONORING Diane H. Hart upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the 2020 Third Age
Achievement Award for Physical Fitness by Lifepath

WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of
certain extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their
valued contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Diane H.
Hart upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the 2020 Third
Age Achievement Award for Physical Fitness by Lifepath, which was
celebrated at its 24th Annual Awards Ceremony on Friday, May 25, 2020;
and

WHEREAS, Each year, this auspicious event recognizes the
contributions area residents and professionals have made in their
communities during the Third Age, after turning 60 years-old, of their
lives; Diane H. Hart is truly deserving of this prestigious award; and

WHEREAS, Lifepath is dedicated to keeping older neighbors and
friends healthy and safe by providing effective programs and support to
help them stay connected to their communities; and

WHEREAS, Diane H. Hart is a lifelong resident of Albany, New York,
and a passionate evangelist in the promotion of health and wellness,
particularly for the senior population; and

WHEREAS, She is a Medical Fitness Professional and Health Educator,
having spent over 30 years of her career dedicated to the mission of
improving the health and quality of life for all Americans, especially
in the Capital District; the City of Albany even designated June 16th as
"Diane Hart Day"; and

WHEREAS, This extraordinary woman lives her life by the philosophy
that if one wants to live long, they should MOVE!; and

WHEREAS, Diane H. Hart is the President and Executive Director of
the National Association for Health and Fitness, Founder of Hart to
Heart Fitness, and a contributor to the National Physical Activity Plan
with a senior population focus; and

WHEREAS, Furthermore, Diane H. Hart is the Architect and Chair of
Global Employee Health and Fitness Month which celebrates the importance
of the workforce and their families, as well as a consultant to the
United Nations regarding Global non-communicable diseases; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it


RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Diane H. Hart upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the 2020 Third Age Achievement Award for Physical Fitness by Lifepath;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Diane H. Hart.
