COMMENDING COJO Flatbush upon the occasion of
hosting its 40th Annual Community Legislative
Breakfast on March 3, 2019

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend those
illustrious organizations of the State of New York whose focus and
intent have made a substantial impact on the quality of life in their
communities; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend COJO Flatbush upon the occasion of hosting its 40th Annual
Community Legislative Breakfast on Sunday, March 3, 2019, at Kol Yaakov
Hall, Brooklyn, New York; and

WHEREAS, COJO Flatbush was established as a multi-faceted,
non-sectarian, non-profit social service agency ready to respond to the
concerns and needs of the local community; and

WHEREAS, Furthermore, this vital organization works together with a
multitude of ethnic and cultural communities in addressing common
concerns; and

WHEREAS, Remaining true to its mission, COJO Flatbush preserves and
strengthens the quality of life of families in its community, providing
comprehensive programming that assists the less fortunate in meeting
their daily needs for food, sustenance, housing, health care, social
support and financial security; and

WHEREAS, For four decades, this Breakfast has been the vehicle for
the greater community to pay tribute to and honor legislators and
community leaders, as well as outstanding financial, educational, social
service, healthcare and religious institutions which contribute to the
quality of life in Brooklyn; and

WHEREAS, Over its distinguished history, COJO Flatbush has
demonstrated continuous service to the residents and communities which
it serves; and

WHEREAS, The success of COJO Flatbush is in direct correlation to
the efforts of its staff, whose involvement is, and always has been,
characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and
an uncompromising standard of excellence in all endeavors on behalf of
the organization and the community it serves; and

WHEREAS, In light of its commitment, dedication and successful
efforts, it is the custom of this Legislative Body to extend its highest
commendation to COJO Flatbush of Brooklyn, New York; now, therefore, be
it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend COJO Flatbush upon the occasion of hosting its 40th Annual
Community Legislative Breakfast on March 3, 2019; and be it further


RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to COJO Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York.
