HONORING Brianna Price upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the Youth Award by the
Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce on April 11, 2019

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those young people within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Brianna Price upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the
Youth Award by the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce to be celebrated at its
34th Annual Awards Dinner on Thursday, April 11, 2019, at Normanside
Country Club, Delmar, New York; and

WHEREAS, A senior at Bethlehem High School, Brianna Price serves as
the Girls Varsity Soccer Team Captain and the second leading scorer on a
team that made it to the New York State Section II Finals; she is also a
member of the National Honor Society; and

WHEREAS, With a steadfast and unwavering commitment to her
community, Brianna Price volunteers with Crohn's and Colitis Foundation
of Upstate Northeastern NY Chapter and has served as a panelist at its
IBD education seminar; and

WHEREAS, Briana Price has served as a team captain for the Crohn's
and Colitis walk, a YMCA Camp Chingachgook overnight camp counselor,
Bethlehem Soccer Club Referee Coordinator and Referee, and is an
American Red Cross certified life guard; and

WHEREAS, Brianna Price has been the proud recipient of numerous
awards and accolades including recognition as an Honored Hero at the
Crohn's and Colitis Gala; and

WHEREAS, Brianna Price has distinguished herself as a young woman of
superlative ability, establishing a high standard of excellence and
purposefulness of life rarely achieved in youthful years; and

WHEREAS, With her sense of civic duty and her commitment to others,
Brianna Price represents the best development of the potential which is
inherent in our most precious resource, our youth; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Brianna Price upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the Youth Award by the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce on April 11, 2019;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Brianna Price.
