HONORING Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade upon the
occasion of his designation for special recognition
by FACE Africa at its 10th Annual WASH Gala on March
23, 2019

WHEREAS, The unity of our State and Nation is built upon the
compassion of individuals such as Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade who uphold
the values of community life and who, through their great actions,
epitomize the best of humanity; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Oluwatosin
Oluwole Ajibade upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by FACE Africa at its 10th Annual WASH Gala on Saturday,
March 23, 2019, in New York City; and

WHEREAS, Called upon to contribute his time and talents to countless
civic and charitable endeavors, Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade has always
given of himself unstintingly; and

WHEREAS, Affectionately known as Mr. Eazi, Oluwatosin Oluwole
Ajibade, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur; he is the
pioneer of Banku music, a fusion sound he describes as a mixture of
Ghanaian highlife and Nigerian chord progressions and patterns; and

WHEREAS, Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade is the founder of emPawa, a
vital organization with a mission to support African artistes by
equipping them with the right collaboration, industry knowledge and
investment, enabling them to not only achieve their full potential, but
also giving them the independence to become music entrepreneurs; and

WHEREAS, In addition, Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade is a clean water
advocate, pledging to dig a borehole in a community that doesn't have
access to potable drinking water after every million streams of his hit
single "Pour me Water"; this initiative has built three clean water
projects in Nigeria; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade has stood
constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade
has displayed throughout his life; and

WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to honor and support those individuals who have displayed their
commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the intent
of this Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records, this tribute to
Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, that future generations may know and
appreciate his admirable character, his many benevolent deeds, and the
respect and esteem in which he is held by his peers; now, therefore, be
it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade upon the occasion of his designation
for special recognition by FACE Africa at its 10th Annual WASH Gala on
March 23, 2019; and it be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade.
