HONORING Adebola Williams upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition by FACE Africa
at its 10th Annual WASH Gala on March 23, 2019

WHEREAS, The unity of our State and Nation is built upon the
compassion of individuals such as Adebola Williams who uphold the values
of community life and who, through their great actions, epitomize the
best of humanity; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Adebola
Williams upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by
FACE Africa at its 10th Annual WASH Gala on Saturday, March 23, 2019, in
New York City; and

WHEREAS, Called upon to contribute his time and talents to countless
civic and charitable endeavors, Adebola Williams has always given of
himself unstintingly; and

WHEREAS, Founding Partner of RED and CEO of Red Media Africa,
Adebola Williams was recently selected as President Obama's Mandela
Washington fellow and profiled by Forbes as the man who helped three
consecutive presidents win elections in Africa; and

WHEREAS, Adebola Williams has been the proud recipient of numerous
awards and accolades some of which include being named CNBC Young
Business Leader of the Year, Forbes 30 Under 30, Business Day 40 Under
40, amongst others; and

WHEREAS, With a passion for social re-engineering, Adebola Williams
co-founded EnoughisEnough (EiE), one of Nigeria's foremost civic
participation groups and a premium voice for young people on politics;
and

WHEREAS, Furthermore, Adebola Williams crusades on entrepreneurship,
leadership and impact change, with a focus on youth across the world; he
was named as one of the 100 Most Influential People of African Descent
in the last decade by the United Nations; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Adebola Williams has stood constant
in dignity, good grace and humor; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Adebola Williams has
displayed throughout his life; and

WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to honor and support those individuals who have displayed their
commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the intent
of this Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records this tribute to
Adebola Williams, that future generations may know and appreciate his
admirable character, his many benevolent deeds, and the respect and
esteem in which he is held by his peers; now, therefore, be it


RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Adebola Williams upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by FACE Africa at its 10th Annual WASH Gala on March 23,
2019; and it be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Adebola Williams.
