COMMENDING Christ the King School, Snyder, New
York, upon the occasion of achieving Middle States
Accreditation from the Middle States Association

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those institutions of true purpose and high achievement whose
exemplary programs and accomplishment clearly demonstrate an enduring
pursuit of excellence in the education of the youth of the Empire State;
and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Christ the King School, Snyder, New York, upon the occasion of
achieving Middle States Accreditation from the Middle States
Association; and

WHEREAS, The Middle States Association is a worldwide leader in
accreditation and school improvement; for more than 125 years, this
vital organization has been helping school leaders establish and reach
their goals, develop strategic plans, promote staff development and
advance student achievement; and

WHEREAS, Accreditation is a multifaceted evaluation process that
schools and school systems voluntarily use to demonstrate they are
meeting a defined set of research-based performance standards; very few
schools attain this high level of excellence; and

WHEREAS, Christ the King School (CTK) was founded in 1929, and
offers PreK-3 through 8th grade classes; its faith-based education
provides a safe, nurturing and challenging environment for all who
attend; and

WHEREAS, With approximately 200 students in attendance, Christ the
King School provides a solid foundation for each of its students; in
addition, of its 32 staff members, 90% hold a Master's degree; and

WHEREAS, A true community of faith, Christ the King School is
dedicated to teaching Catholic doctrine and traditions, as well as the
value of respect, reverence and responsibility; furthermore, its
excellent curriculum is based on rigorous New York State and Diocese of
Buffalo standards; and

WHEREAS, Christ the King is a S.T.R.E.A.M. School, enabling teachers
to focus in an interdisciplinary way on Science, Engineering, Technology
and Math, while integrating the Arts, and allowing Religion to flow
throughout the daily routine; and

WHEREAS, Christ the King School has continually demonstrated an
impressive dedication, an unparalleled devotion and an unremitting
enthusiasm for the quality of educational programs and opportunities
offered for the benefit of its faculty and students as well as for the
entire community; and

WHEREAS, The Middle States Accreditation stands as a resolute
testimony to Christ the King School's standards of excellence, its
uncompromising values, unparalleled dedication, and the special teamwork
of its family of students, parents, teachers and administrators, who
share common goals and uncommon expectations; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Christ the King School, Snyder, New York, upon the occasion of
achieving Middle States Accreditation from the Middle States
Association; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Christ the King School, Snyder, New York.
