HONORING Ernest Danjuma Enebi upon the occasion of
his designation for special recognition by FACE
Africa at its 10th Annual WASH Gala on March 23,
2019

WHEREAS, The unity of our State and Nation is built upon the
compassion of individuals such as Ernest Danjuma Enebi who uphold the
values of community life and who, through their great actions, epitomize
the best of humanity; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Ernest
Danjuma Enebi upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by FACE Africa at its 10th Annual WASH Gala on Saturday,
March 23, 2019, in New York City; and

WHEREAS, Called upon to contribute his time and talents to countless
civic and charitable endeavors, Ernest Danjuma Enebi has always given of
himself unstintingly; and

WHEREAS, FACE Africa's longest serving United States team member,
Ernest Danjuma Enebi has served as Chief Strategy Officer since 2009; in
this capacity he has been instrumental in the WASH Gala's growth into
one of the most anticipated Africa-focused gatherings in New York City,
bringing together 400 guests from various sectors; and

WHEREAS, In 2015, Ernest Danjuma Enebi founded The Denda Group, a
brand design and growth strategy company which helps build, grow and
scale primarily African owned or focused start-ups, non-profits and
small-medium sized enterprises; and

WHEREAS, Most recently, Ernest Danjuma Enebi co-founded Ventures
Platform in Abuja, Nigeria, the first world-class full service tech
innovation hub which aims to attract tech start-ups from across the
continent and help spur rapid economic growth through the ICT sector;
and

WHEREAS, This extraordinary man is also a policy and politics
contributor at the Guardian Nigeria, as well as a culture critic, social
activist and one of the premier fundraisers in the diaspora for causes
benefitting equality and social justice on the continent; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Ernest Danjuma Enebi has stood
constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Ernest Danjuma Enebi has
displayed throughout his life; and

WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to honor and support those individuals who have displayed their
commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the intent
of this Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records, this tribute to

Ernest Danjuma Enebi, that future generations may know and appreciate
his admirable character, his many benevolent deeds, and the respect and
esteem in which he is held by his peers; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Ernest Danjuma Enebi upon the occasion of his designation for
special recognition by FACE Africa at its 10th Annual WASH Gala on March
23, 2019; and it be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Ernest Danjuma Enebi.
