COMMENDING Donald Witkowski upon the occasion of
his retirement after 11 years of distinguished
service as the Hamburg, New York, Village
Administrator on June 21, 2019

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body seeks to acknowledge those
individuals whose professional lives and civic endeavors serve to
enhance the stature of the State of New York; and

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those
individuals who are devoted to the welfare of their community and its
citizenry; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Donald Witkowski upon the occasion of his retirement after 11
years of distinguished service as the Hamburg, New York, Village
Administrator on Friday, June 21, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Donald Witkowski began his long and esteemed career in
municipal service with the cities of both Tonawanda and Batavia, New
York; and

WHEREAS, For the past 11 years, Donald Witkowski rendered faithful,
conscientious and valuable service as the Hamburg Village Administrator;
and

WHEREAS, In his capacity as Village Administrator, Donald Witkowski
served with loyalty, honor and distinction during a time of great
change, progress and growth for Hamburg; and

WHEREAS, In his official acts, Donald Witkowski was governed by a
keen sense of duty and always showed a unique grasp of human problems;
and

WHEREAS, During his tenure with the Village of Hamburg and the
cities of Tonawanda and Batavia, Donald Witkowski earned the admiration,
esteem and affection of his colleagues; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Donald Witkowski upon the occasion of his retirement after 11
years of distinguished service as the Hamburg, New York, Village
Administrator, and to wish him continued success in all his future
endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Donald Witkowski.
