HONORING the Welded Tube Group of Companies upon
the occasion of its designation as recipient of the
2019 Bi-National Partner Award by the Niagara USA
Chamber

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those businesses which substantially contribute to the
economic vitality of their communities and the entire Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
the Welded Tube Group of Companies upon the occasion of its designation
as recipient of the 2019 Bi-National Partner Award by the Niagara USA
Chamber to be celebrated at its 2019 Awards Ceremony at the Seneca
Niagara Resort & Casino, Niagara Falls, New York, on Friday, March 15,
2019; and

WHEREAS, The Niagara USA Chamber is proud to celebrate business
excellence in the Niagara Region; and

WHEREAS, For almost 50 years, Welded Tube of Canada, headquartered
in Concord, Ontario, just north of Toronto, has been consistently
recognized as a leader in the production of high-strength, low-alloy
steel tubing; and

WHEREAS, In 2013, Welded Tube expanded into the United States by
commissioning its state-of-the-art casing mill in Lackawanna, New York;
working together with operations in Welland, the Lackawanna plant
produces the highest-quality casing for the oil and gas industry; and

WHEREAS, Welded Tube consists of three companies and is a trusted
and premier supplier to various industries including automotive, fitness
equipment, furniture and office systems; as a result of this
partnership, this iconic Canadian company now provides even greater
satisfaction to its North American customers; and

WHEREAS, Through continued investment in state-of-the-art equipment
and technology, Welded Tube and its employees are recognized as industry
leaders in each of their business groups; and

WHEREAS, Welded Tube, a dependable and loyal business, is the
quintessential selection for the prestigious Bi-National Partner Award;
and

WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business and its contributions to the
local and State economies, fully confident that it will continue to
enjoy the sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor the Welded Tube Group of Companies upon the occasion of its

designation as recipient of the 2019 Bi-National Partner Award by the
Niagara USA Chamber; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the Welded Tube Group of Companies.
