HONORING Danielle McAfee upon the completion of
her term as President of the Association of School
Business Officials, New York

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and

WHEREAS, Danielle McAfee has given not only of her time and energies
but also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special honor; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Danielle
McAfee upon the completion of her term as President of the Association
of School Business Officials, New York, to be celebrated at its
Education Summit and Expo on June 2-5, 2019, at the Saratoga Hilton,
Saratoga Springs, New York; and

WHEREAS, Danielle McAfee has been the School Business Administrator
of the Saranac Central School District for the past 10 years, prior to
which, she spent 12 years at the Chazy Central Rural School District as
its Business Manager; and

WHEREAS, A member of the Association of School Business Officials
(ASBO) New York Board of Directors for the past six years, Danielle
McAfee currently serves as Board President; and

WHEREAS, In this capacity, Danielle McAfee serves and supports the
goals of the organization and the membership of ASBO; furthermore, she
steadfastly promotes the important role business officials provide
school districts and meets the needs of all members for professional
development; and

WHEREAS, During her term as President, membership increased by over
5% and attendance at the Association's two conferences reached historic
highs; and

WHEREAS, Before being elected to the Board, Danielle McAfee served
as the Chair of the Membership Committee and has been an active member
for the past 14 years; she is also an active member of the Adirondack
Chapter of ASBO, serving as its Secretary for two years and President
for 10 years; and

WHEREAS, Danielle McAfee has worked tirelessly to keep the local
chapter active and informed by offering important professional
development to new and experienced business officials; and

WHEREAS, In addition to her work with ASBO New York, Danielle McAfee
is a member of the Board of Directors for NYBEST; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Danielle McAfee has stood constant
in dignity, good grace and humor; and


WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Danielle McAfee has displayed
throughout her life; and

WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to honor and support those individuals who have displayed their
commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the intent
of this Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records, this tribute to
Danielle McAfee, that future generations may know and appreciate her
admirable character, her many benevolent deeds, and the respect and
esteem in which she is held by her peers; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Danielle McAfee upon the completion of her term as President of
the Association of School Business Officials, New York; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Danielle McAfee.
