CONGRATULATING Timothy Norman Kelley upon the
occasion of his designation as Grand Marshal of
Camden's 19th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
individuals of true purpose and worthy accomplishment who work
diligently to preserve and celebrate their rich cultural heritage; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate Timothy Norman Kelley upon the occasion of his designation
as Grand Marshal of Camden's 19th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade on
Saturday, March 21, 2020, Camden, New York; and

WHEREAS, Timothy Norman Kelley was born on January 22, 1951, to
Francis and Dorothy Kelley in Camden, New York; and

WHEREAS, Upon graduating Camden High School in 1969, Timothy Norman
Kelley attended Canton College where he received his associate's degree
in 1971; he went on to earn a Bachelor of Business degree from Utica
College of Syracuse University in 1973; and

WHEREAS, Active in his community, Timothy Norman Kelley ran Kelley's
Dutch Hill Sport Shop for 37 years with his father Francis; he also
volunteered and served as President for the Camden Little League in the
1970s, where he met his wife, Carolyn Salladin, whom he married in 1975
in Camden, New York; and

WHEREAS, Timothy Norman Kelley is a founding member and dedicated
volunteer of the Camden Night Riders, which later became TC Riders
Snowmobile Club; he is also involved with 46 Corners OHV Club and the
St. Patrick's Parade Committee; and

WHEREAS, Furthermore, he currently volunteers with the Town of
Amboy, Constantia VFW, Camden IOOB Club, Old Crows Clambake, St. John's
Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus; and

WHEREAS, In his free time, Timothy Norman Kelley enjoys cruising
Panther Lake on his party barge, traveling to visit his sister and
brother-in-law in the Outer Banks, as well as spending time with his
family; and

WHEREAS, Timothy Norman Kelley resides in Panther Lake, New York,
with his wife Carolyn, dog Maddie and cat Betty; in addition to his
wife, with him throughout have been their two children Cristin (Mike)
and Patrick (Jean); as well as five grandchildren, Mitchell, Molly,
Megan, Camden and Tanner; and

WHEREAS, A pillar of his community, Timothy Norman Kelley has
displayed what it means to be a true New Yorker, active in his
community, truly selfless in his actions, and contributing so much to
his community of Camden, New York; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations, to
congratulate Timothy Norman Kelley upon the occasion of his designation
of Grand Marshal of Camden's 19th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade; and
be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Timothy Norman Kelley.
