CONGRATULATING the Maine-Endwell High School Field
Hockey Team upon the occasion of capturing the New
York State Public High School Athletic Association
Class A Championship

WHEREAS, Individual and team championships are highly sought after
in high school sports; this Legislative Body commends rare athletic
achievements and pays special recognition to those who pursue such
excellence and become examples for the youth of this great Empire State;
and

WHEREAS, Excellence and success in competitive sports can be
achieved only through strenuous practice, team play and team spirit,
nurtured by dedicated coaching and strategic planning; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate the
Maine-Endwell High School Field Hockey Team upon the occasion of
capturing the New York State Public High School Athletic Association
Class A State Championship on Sunday, November 17, 2019, in Alden, New
York; and

WHEREAS, To the praise and applause of their excited fans, the
Spartans were able to surmount their opponents in the New York State
Championship match and accomplish the utmost high school sporting
accomplishment in this Empire State; and

WHEREAS, The Maine-Endwell Spartans ended a very successful 2019
fall season, in which they finished with an overall record of 16-3 and
capped their historic season off with a 2-1 victory over Section 1
Champion Horace Greeley to secure the Class A New York State Field
Hockey Championship; and

WHEREAS, In a sport such as Field Hockey, which demands athletic
prowess, speed and agility, Head Coach Heather Doyle, with her Assistant
Coach Lindsay Conroy, worked hard to hone the skills of this
championship team, teaching these outstanding athletes lessons which
will prove invaluable both on and off the field; and

WHEREAS, Coach Doyle and all of the outstanding athletes on the
Maine-Endwell High School Field Hockey Team have clearly utilized
dedication, determination and teamwork in providing a lasting
contribution to the spirit of excellence which is a tradition of their
school; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the members of the Maine-Endwell Field Hockey Team: Olivia
Rando, Ava Passante, Rylee Zunic, Eleanor Duncan, Melissa Demo, Mary
Cook, Julianne Zunic, Sam Palmer, Ava Gravelding, Anna Castaldo, Reagan
McQuade, Mia Hartung, Meredith Rose, Dani Palmer, Jenna Zunic, Sara
Costello, Kara Barnes, Amanda Spak, Anna Dean; as well as Head Coach
Heather Doyle, and Assistant Coach Lindsay Conroy upon the occasion of
capturing the New York State Public High School Athletic Association
Class A Field Hockey State Championship; and be it further


RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the members of the Maine-Endwell Field Hockey Team as
well as Head Coach Heather Doyle and Assistant Coach Lindsay Conroy.
