HONORING Robert Krummenacker for 40 years of
distinguished service to Quincy Media and the
Binghamton community
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to acknowledge
the significant milestones in the illustrious careers of esteemed
residents of this noble Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Robert Krummenacker for 40 years of distinguished service to Quincy
Media and the Binghamton community; and
WHEREAS, Robert Krummenacker is the Vice President and Station
Manager of Quincy Media's Binghamton, New York properties, WBNG-TV and
WBXI-TV; he began his career at WBNG-TV in 1981 as an Account Executive,
and has also served as Local Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, New
Business Development Manager and General Sales Manager; and
WHEREAS, Prior to joining WBNG-TV, Robert Krummenacker was an
Account Executive at WQYT radio in Binghamton; he graduated from
Fredonia University in 1979, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in
Marketing, with a minor in Economics; and
WHEREAS, For the past four decades, Robert Krummenacker has served
the Binghamton community as a founding board member of the Binghamton Ad
Club; he has dedicated 15 years of service to the Binghamton Boys and
Girls Club, and has also volunteered with the United Way of Broome
County, the Broome County Chamber of Commerce, Friends of the Forum and
the American Red Cross; and
WHEREAS, Robert Krummenacker has led WBNG-TV's efforts in raising
funds, supplies and awareness for needs in the community and, most
recently, contributed to the rebuilding of the OurSpace Playground in
Rec Park; and
WHEREAS, Furthermore, Robert Krummenacker has served on the board of
the New York State Broadcasters Association for many years, formerly as
Treasurer and President, advocating for the interests of 300 television
and radio stations in New York; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Robert Krummenacker for 40 years of distinguished service to
Quincy Media and the Binghamton community; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Robert Krummenacker.
