CONGRATULATING Albert N. Nicola upon the occasion
of his retirement after 43 years of distinguished
service to the Town and Village of Massena, New York

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
honor those distinguished citizens of this great Empire State who have
devoted themselves to faithfully serving the best interests of their
community and the needs of its residents; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate Albert N. Nicola upon the occasion of his retirement after
43 years of distinguished service to the Town and Village of Massena,
New York; and

WHEREAS, For more than four decades, Albert N. Nicola gave
tirelessly of his time and energies as a steadfast public servant to the
citizens of the Town and Village of Massena, New York, providing his
beloved community with exceptional counsel and leadership; and

WHEREAS, Albert N. Nicola's illustrious career in public service
spanned from December of 1978 to December of 2021, during which time he
selflessly served in multiple leadership roles, including as Village
Trustee, Town Councilor, and Deputy Town Supervisor, with unquestionable
dedication and commitment; and

WHEREAS, This extraordinary man has brought respect, honor, and
integrity to the Massena community and the elected offices he has held
by leading by example, exhibiting the highest level of ethics, and
maintaining a superior moral character; and

WHEREAS, A true asset to his community, Albert N. Nicola volunteered
countless hours, incurred personal sacrifice, and exhibited outstanding
community spirit in his service, acting as an agent of change, while
maintaining a demeanor that made working with him a pleasure; and

WHEREAS, Furthermore, he imparted knowledge and wisdom to those he
mentored, compassion and selflessness to those in need, and inspiration
and encouragement to those he led; and

WHEREAS, Albert N. Nicola's unwavering commitment, willingness and
ability to understand and respond to the concerns of the people of
Massena, have made a substantial contribution to the betterment of this
community; and

WHEREAS, For 43 years, Albert N. Nicola rendered faithful,
conscientious and valuable service to the Town and Village of Massena,
earning the admiration, esteem and affection of his colleagues; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the occurrence of such a compassionate
blending of strength, leadership, intellect, and commitment as that
demonstrated by Albert N. Nicola over a lifetime of sacrifice and
dedication to others; now, therefore, be it


RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Albert N. Nicola upon the occasion of his retirement after
43 years of distinguished service to the Town and Village of Massena,
New York, and to wish him well in all his future endeavors; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Albert N. Nicola.
