COMMEMORATING "Brothas Gonna Work It Out,"
Positive Images Photo Shoot National Challenge to be
held March 20, 2022

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body, in keeping with
its time-honored traditions, to recognize and pay tribute to those
events which foster ethnic pride and enhance the profile of cultural
diversity which strengthens the fabric of the communities of New York
State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commemorate "Brothas Gonna Work It Out," Positive Images Photo Shoot
National Challenge to be held March 20, 2022 at the Red Stairs in Times
Square, New York City; and

WHEREAS, Presented by community advocate Tony Herbert, this
auspicious event is open to individuals seven years of age and older;
participants are asked to wear a suit or suit-like attire; and

WHEREAS, "Brothas Gonna Work It Out" is hosted by One Hundred Black
Men of New York, 500 Men Making A Difference, 700 Strong, Advocates
Without Boarders Network, Black Men's Coalition, MBK New York City, MW
Prince Hall Grand Lodge State of New York, and The Professionals Network
Org.; and

WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to honor those
organizations and individuals of significance who add strength, vigor,
and inspiration to the ethnic diversity and quality of life in the
communities of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate "Brothas Gonna Work It Out," Positive Images Photo Shoot
National Challenge to be held March 20, 2022; and, be it further,

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Tony Herbert and the aforementioned hosts.
