COMMENDING the National Organization of Black Law
Enforcement Executives New York Chapter upon the
occasion of hosting its Annual Scholarship and Award
Gala on May 6, 2022

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in the communities across New York
State are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those
organizations and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare
of the community and its citizenry; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives
New York Chapter upon the occasion of hosting its Annual Scholarship and
Award Gala on Friday, May 6, 2022, at the Greentree Country Club in New
Rochelle, New York; and

WHEREAS, During this auspicious occasion, individuals will be
honored for their demonstrated commitment to public service while
investing in the youth, who are our future; and

WHEREAS, Founded in 1976, the National Organization of Black Law
Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) remains true to its mission of ensuring
equity in the administration of justice in the provision of public
service to all communities, and serves as the conscience of law
enforcement by being committed to justice by action; and

WHEREAS, This vital organization represents chief executive officers
and command-level enforcement officials from federal, state, county,
municipal law enforcement agencies, and criminal justice practitioners;
and

WHEREAS, The success of NOBLE is in direct correlation to the
efforts of its members, whose involvement is, and always has been,
characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and
an uncompromising standard of excellence in all endeavors on behalf of
the institution and the community it serves; and

WHEREAS, Today, NOBLE continues to serve as a strong advocate and
effective voice for its entire membership of approximately 60 chapters
representing 3,000 members worldwide while working to foster a spirit of
camaraderie amongst its members; the organization also works toward
developing a greater understanding, mutual respect, and a helpful
relationship with the citizens its members serve so proudly; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those
organizations which enhance the well-being and vitality of their
community and have shown a long and sustained commitment to excellence
certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives
New York Chapter upon the occasion of hosting its Annual Scholarship and
Award Gala on May 6, 2022; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement
Executives New York Chapter.
