HONORING Autumn Anderson upon the occasion of
winning the National SC Johnson Happy Hands Contest

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord
with its long-standing traditions, honoring the youth of today, and
leaders of tomorrow, whose character and achievements best exemplify the
ideals and values cherished by this great State and Nation; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Autumn
Anderson upon the occasion of winning the National SC Johnson Happy
Hands Contest; she will be presented with this auspicious award by SC
Johnson representatives at a surprise assembly at her school,
Brushton-Moira Central School, on Thursday, May 5, 2022; and

WHEREAS, The National SC Johnson Happy Hands Contest promotes the
importance of hand washing at school by encouraging students from
kindergarten through 12th grade to use their creative skills and
imagination to design a custom soap/sanitizer dispenser; and

WHEREAS, Autumn Anderson, with her evident creativity, has won the
National SC Johnson Happy Hands Contest via public voting, securing a
donation for her school and a gift card for personal use; her beautiful
design will be displayed on up to 1,000 soap and sanitizer dispensers in
her school; and

WHEREAS, Poised eagerly with enthusiasm and determined purpose, this
scholar now stands honorably, with just pride in her accomplishments and
in eager anticipation of future challenges, understanding and
appreciating the caring counsel and support provided by her teachers and
parents; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Autumn Anderson upon the occasion of winning the National SC
Johnson Happy Hands Contest; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Autumn Anderson.
