HONORING Deborah A. Goedeke upon the occasion of
her designation as recipient of the Third Age
Achievement Award by Lifepath on April 29, 2022

WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of
certain extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their
valued contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Deborah A.
Goedeke upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the Third
Age Achievement Award by Lifepath, to be celebrated at its 26th Annual
Awards Ceremony on Friday, April 29, 2022, at Wolferts Roost Country
Club, Albany, New York; and

WHEREAS, Lifepath is dedicated to keeping older neighbors and
friends healthy and safe by providing effective programs and support to
help them stay connected to their communities; and

WHEREAS, Each year, this auspicious event recognizes the
contributions area residents and professionals have made in their
communities during the Third Age of their lives (after turning 60
years-old); Deborah A. Goedeke is truly deserving of this prestigious
award; and

WHEREAS, For over 17 years, Deborah A. Goedeke has served as both
the Destination Services Manager for Discover Albany and Albany Film
Commissioner for Film Albany, a division of Discover Albany; and

WHEREAS, Throughout her tenure, Deborah A. Goedeke has assisted her
clients and partners by matching up the right "Albany" resource for
their conferences, city-wide conventions, sporting tournaments,
corporate meetings, film shoots, commercials, and documentaries; and

WHEREAS, Deborah A. Goedeke is a member of the Association of Film
Commissioners International, Capital Region & Adirondack Film Alliance,
Advisory Member of Upstate Women in Film and Television, Regional Film
Commission Member of the New York Production Alliance, Capital Region
Chamber Member, Destinations International Member and served as
President of the Northeast Chapter of Meeting Professionals
International; and

WHEREAS, Since 2000, Deborah A. Goedeke has also worked as
Vice-President of Meetings and Conventions for Empire Meeting Solutions
in Guilderland, New York; in this capacity, she manages the company's
meetings, unique events, and incentive travel programs; and

WHEREAS, For her steadfast and unremitting commitment to her
profession, Deborah A. Goedeke was the recipient of numerous awards and
accolades from various organizations; and

WHEREAS, When she is not working or helping someone, Deborah A.
Goedeke loves to spend time with her husband Art, and their
grandchildren and fur babies Echo and Nova; she also enjoys running and
participating in triathlons and marathons; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefits of others which Deborah A. Goedeke has
displayed throughout her life; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Deborah A. Goedeke upon the occasion of her designation as
recipient of the 2022 Third Age Achievement Award by Lifepath; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Deborah A. Goedeke.
