CONGRATULATING Rudy's Lakeside Drive-In upon the
occasion of celebrating its 75th Anniversary of
operation

WHEREAS, Within each community of this great State of New York there
are certain businesses that define the nature of the region and the
people who inhabit it; and

WHEREAS, Rudy's Lakeside Drive-In, a legendary Oswego eatery, has
been serving the families and residents of Central New York for
three-quarters of a century thanks to a dedication to quality food,
outstanding customer service and a belief that customers will appreciate
a family-owned company that works hard every day to provide them with an
excellent dining experience; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate
Rudy's Lakeside Drive-In and its long-time owner, Jason Livesey, upon
the occasion of celebrating its 75th Anniversary of operation; and

WHEREAS, Established in 1946, Rudy's Lakeside Drive-In has been
family owned and operated for three generations; and

WHEREAS, The eatery has become legendary for its delicious foods,
including haddock sandwiches, clams, other types of seafood, Texas hots,
and a wide variety of other customer favorites; and

WHEREAS, In addition to offering great food, Rudy's Lakeside
Drive-In provides for its customers the opportunity to dine and take in
an unparalleled view with its many picnic tables situated on the shores
of beautiful Lake Ontario; and

WHEREAS, The traditional Spring reopening of Rudy's Lakeside
Drive-In has become an annual iconic harbinger of the season that
attracts people from throughout Central New York back again and again to
enjoy a respected and venerated local business that holds a special
place in the hearts of people in Oswego and beyond; and

WHEREAS, It is fitting that this Legislative Body recognize local
businesses such as Rudy's Lakeside Drive-In which have become
institutions in the community, as well as the successful entrepreneurs
who have nurtured them throughout the years; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Rudy's Lakeside Drive-In for 75 years of excellence and
customer service to the people of Central New York and this great Empire
State; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Jason Livesey, Owner, Rudy's Lakeside Drive-In.
