CONGRATULATING Traci S. Caines upon the occasion
of being inducted into the 28th Annual May W.
Newburger Women's Roll of Honor by the Town of North
Hempstead, in conjunction with the observance of
Women's History Month

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those women of achievement within this great Empire State
who have made strong contributions to their communities and who inspire
others through their model citizenship; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate Traci S. Caines upon the occasion of being inducted into
the 28th Annual May W. Newburger Women's Roll of Honor by the Town of
North Hempstead, in conjunction with the observance of Women's History
Month; and

WHEREAS, Since 1994, the Town of North Hempstead has honored women
who have made a contribution to their community, or have accomplished a
significant achievement through public or private efforts; Traci S.
Caines is one such woman; and

WHEREAS, Traci S. Caines is an advocate for her community and is a
promoter for change, advancements and investments that improve and
advance causes close to her heart; she is a champion of children's
rights and is the personification of philanthropic and selflessness; and

WHEREAS, Born and raised in Nassau County, Traci S. Caines has
always understood the importance of serving the community; from her
early involvement in Class Government, Operation Pride, Lady Devils
Athletics and Chorale, she was definitely a standout student-leader at
Freeport High School; and

WHEREAS, Upon completion of high school, Traci S. Caines attended
Nassau Community College before being accepted to New York University
where she studied Organizational Behavior and Communications; throughout
her years of study, her civic-minded nature continued to manifest itself
in her church involvement; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of the State of New York; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Traci S. Caines upon the occasion of being inducted into
the 28th Annual May W. Newburger Women's Roll of Honor by the Town of
North Hempstead, in conjunction with the observance of Women's History
Month; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Traci S. Caines.
