CONGRATULATING Warren Leib upon the occasion of
his retirement after 25 years of dedicated service
as a board member of the Pulaski Library

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge the
significant milestones in the distinguished careers of those outstanding
educational leaders, whose dedication and achievements have been
instrumental in developing character and academic excellence in the
young people of New York State; and

WHEREAS, New York State's commitment to education is unparalleled;
its history and stature are secured by the superlative caliber of its
educational professionals and the students they inspire; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate
Warren Leib upon the occasion of his retirement after 25 years of
dedicated service as a board member of the Pulaski Library; and

WHEREAS, Born in Saranac Lake, New York, in 1937, Warren Leib
received his first of many credentials, a Bachelor of Science degree in
Education from SUNY Potsdam in 1959; he received many more degrees and
certifications over the following years, including the completion of
Emergency Medical Technician training in 1977; and

WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of New York State and a staple to the
Pulaski community, Warren Leib has dedicated his life to education and
literacy; and

WHEREAS, Devoted to his profession, this knowledgeable man also
spent his long career in education as a teacher, coach, principal, and
as superintendent of Pulaski Academy and Central Schools for 25 years,
during which time he impacted thousands of lives; and

WHEREAS, Furthermore, upon retiring from teaching in 1994, Warren
Leib continued his service to the Pulaski community through
organizations such as the Salmon River Fine Arts Center, Northern Oswego
County Ambulance and, most notably, the Pulaski Library; and

WHEREAS, Warren Leib, with his commitment and investment, was able
to advocate for more technology and library programs, work
collaboratively with library leadership, and continue his efforts of
education and improving literacy within the community; and

WHEREAS, The future success of our State and Nation is dependent
upon individuals such as Warren Leib, who have dedicated their lives as
educators, nurturing our most precious resource, our youth; and

WHEREAS, As a knowledgeable and highly skilled teacher, coach,
principal, superintendent, and member of the board of directors, this
extraordinary man has improved the quality of education at Pulaski
School and Library by leading and supporting staff with enthusiasm,
cultivating a positive and stimulating school environment for his

students, and creating a greater sense of community for five decades;
and

WHEREAS, Warren Leib has clearly had an enduring impact on the youth
of the Pulaski area, as well as on the community-at-large, and
accordingly merits recognition and applause for his impressive
dedication to others; and

WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to commend the
efforts of those individuals who have worked to support our proud
tradition of public education by providing their skills and talents to
our schools and libraries; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Warren Leib upon the occasion of his retirement, and to
wish him continued success in all his future endeavors; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Warren Leib.
