HONORING Valle Jewelers upon the occasion of its
designation as recipient of the Business of the Year
Award by the Genesee County Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in the communities across New York
State are enhanced by the concerned and dedicated efforts of business
organizations and individuals that generously contribute to the welfare
of the community and its citizenry; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Valle Jewelers upon the occasion of its designation as recipient of the
Business of the Year Award by the Genesee County Chamber of Commerce to
be celebrated at its 50th Annual Awards Ceremony on Saturday, March 12,
2022; and

WHEREAS, Valle Jewelers is receiving this auspicious award for its
demonstrated growth and commitment to Genesee County; and

WHEREAS, For 70 years, Valle Jewelers has been a fixture in downtown
Batavia, providing customers from across Western New York with the
ultimate shopping experience; and

WHEREAS, Whether having a piece checked and cleaned, or purchasing
something large or small, the extraordinary staff at Valle Jewelers
treats you with the same professionalism, kindness and appreciation,
making the customer's experience equally as important as the quality of
products and services offered; and

WHEREAS, A family run business and one of the area's best kept
secrets, Valle Jewelers and the Valle family have truly been fixtures in
the local community for three generations; and

WHEREAS, Under the able leadership of Carrie Lawrence and Stephen
and Mary Valle, Valle Jewelers has supported countless local
organizations, including ARC, Genesee Amateur Hockey Association, the
City of Batavia Centennial Celebration, Batavia Bulldawgs, RRH UMMC
Foundation, Genesee Community College, St. Joseph's Regional School, St.
Paul's Lutheran School, Crossroads House, Batavia Business Development
Corporation, Ricky Palermo Miami Project, City Church, GLOW YMCA, the
Henry J. Mager Scholarship, United Way Day of Caring and Leadership
Genesee; and

WHEREAS, Valle Jewelers' vision and steadfast commitment to Genesee
County has greatly contributed to the community's success and the
expansion of its workforce; and

WHEREAS, The success of Valle Jewelers is in direct correlation to
the efforts of Carrie Lawrence and Stephen and Mary Valle, as well as
its dedicated staff, whose involvement is, and always has been,
characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and

an uncompromising standard of excellence in all endeavors on behalf of
the business and the community it serves; and

WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business and its contributions to the
local and State economies, fully confident that it will continue to
enjoy the sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Valle Jewelers upon the occasion of its designation as recipient
of the Business of the Year Award by the Genesee County Chamber of
Commerce; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Valle Jewelers.
