Assembly Resolution No. 9

In relation to the election and seating of
Stacey Pheffer Amato as a Member of the Assembly
from the 23rd Assembly District

WHEREAS, There is a vacancy existing in the membership of this
House, which was filled at the election held on November 8, 2022; and

WHEREAS, The final official canvass of the votes cast at said
election and certification thereof of the person elected thereat, cannot
be made at this time; and

WHEREAS, The Board of Elections of the City of New York has advised
that the votes cast for the Office of Member of Assembly in the 23rd
Assembly District in the County of Queens shown by its canvass were
respectively as follows: Stacey Pheffer Amato, Democratic and We the
People, sixteen thousand one hundred and eighty-five; Thomas Sullivan,
Republican and Conservative, sixteen thousand one hundred and seventy;
and

WHEREAS, It appears that the results of the votes cast in said
Assembly District cannot be affected by the final official canvass of
such voters; and

WHEREAS, Stacey Pheffer Amato has duly taken an oath of office as a
Member of Assembly; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That Stacey Pheffer Amato, Democratic and We the People,
is duly elected and qualified as a Member of the Assembly for her
respective district and that she be seated in this House as such Member.
