COMMENDING the Eureka Grand Chapter, Prince Hall
Order Eastern Star, Inc., State of New York upon the
occasion of hosting its Sunshine Chapter No. 34 Five
Point Tea on June 25, 2023

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those organizations of high purpose and worthy
accomplishment whose endeavors have faithfully served the welfare of the
citizens of the State of New York; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend the Eureka Grand Chapter, Prince Hall Order Eastern Star, Inc.,
State of New York upon the occasion of hosting its Sunshine Chapter No.
34 Five Point Tea on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at the Brooklyn Masonic
Temple; and

WHEREAS, Sunshine Chapter No. 34 is part of the Eureka Grand
Chapter, Prince Hall Order Eastern Star, Inc., State of New York, and
thrives on sisterhood and philanthropy; the meaning of the Five Point
Tea is to honor the heroines in our lives whom we strive to emulate; and

WHEREAS, The Sunshine Chapter No. 34 was re-chartered after the
reforming of Eureka Grand Chapter on November 26, 1938; and

WHEREAS, The success of the Eureka Grand Chapter, Sunshine Chapter
No. 34 is is in direct correlation to the efforts of its dedicated
members, whose involvement is, and always has been, characterized by an
impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising
standard of excellence in all endeavors on behalf of the organization
and the community it serves; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is proudly moved to honor and commend
the members of the Eureka Grand Chapter, past and present, who have
labored so conscientiously to secure and improve the quality of life for
the community it serves; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Eureka Grand Chapter, Prince Hall Order Eastern Star, Inc.,
State of New York upon the occasion of hosting its Sunshine Chapter No.
34 Five Point Tea on June 25, 2023; and be it further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the Eureka Grand Chapter, Prince Hall Order Eastern Star,
Inc., State of New York.
