COMMENDING PJ Green, Inc. of Utica, New York, upon
the occasion of celebrating its 95th Anniversary
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals and businesses which substantially
contribute to the economic vitality of their communities and the entire
Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend PJ Green, Inc. upon the occasion of its 95th Anniversary,
celebrated at a party on Friday, March 17, 2023, and with a myriad of
events held throughout the year; and
WHEREAS, One of the largest variable printing companies in the
Northeast, Philip J. "PJ" Green established PJ Green, Inc. as PJ Green
Advertising Service in 1928; later, Philip's sons, Terry and Pat joined
their father and helped him to continue the business; and
WHEREAS, Today, PJ Green is run by Terry Green's children along with
Philip Green's great-grandchildren, making it a fourth-generation
family-run business; it is both a certified WMBE business and a
RecycleOne operation; and
WHEREAS, With three office locations in Utica, Syracuse and Albany,
New York, PJ Green and its graphic designers create visually appealing
designs for their clients' varied products using environmentally safe
inks and fluids without toxic emissions and waste; and
WHEREAS, The success of PJ Green is in direct correlation to the
efforts of its leadership and their staff, whose involvement is, and
always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled
enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in all
endeavors on behalf of the institution and the community it serves; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges contributions of PJ Green to the local and State economies,
and extends its highest commendation to this corporate enterprise, fully
confident that it will continue to enjoy the sparkling success it has
enjoyed thus far; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend PJ Green, Inc. upon the occasion of celebrating its 95th
Anniversary; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Rick Green, PJ Green, Inc.
